Matthew Michels, CPT Matthew is a certified personal trainer, working with GPAC clients of all ages and fitness levels, particularly group training for young athletes. Matthew’s approach is to teach clients to think of fitness as a lifestyle that they learn to love, as opposed to a short-term answer to a certain problem. Matthew begins working with clients by building what he refers to as a “base to the bridge” – those keys being strength, flexibility and balance. His ultimate goal is to have his clients experience all of the benefits that a lifestyle with exercise has to offer. Born and raised in Grosse Pointe Farms, Matthew is an avid sports fan and dedicates time as a strength and conditioning coach for local sports teams. He received his certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and is currently studying Computer Science at Wayne State University.
